Before recording, confirm you are allowed to capture the page, screen, meeting, workflow, or content. Notify or obtain consent from participants when required by law, workplace policy, confidentiality obligations, platform rules, or the nature of the content.
User responsibility
The user who starts a capture is responsible for deciding whether recording is permitted, obtaining required consent, avoiding sensitive or confidential content unless authorized, choosing the correct share mode, and removing or restricting access if content was shared by mistake.
Product behavior
RecURL records only after a user starts capture in the browser extension, uses browser capture APIs after a user gesture, saves media after upload/finalize, and supports public, unlisted, password, and PIN share modes.
